Salone Milano 2016 – Thank Goodness for Italy

A Safe Haven for Innovative Bathroom Design, free from all the UK TV & Internet Sellers offerings under the label of Designer & Luxury.

Weeks before ‘Salone Del Mobile’ in Rho, just North of the capital of Style ‘Milan’ theres a buzz, if you know where to look, but in truth the Italian’s don’t understand the buying mentality of the UK anymore, and like myself trying to come to terms with the terms used on TV & the Internet to entice buyers who don’t know any different, or different enough to compare.

Captivated by the moon

Captivated is the only word I could use, on first viewing of the ‘Moon’ Collection below from Cerasa of Italy. Find out more about our Cerasa Moon products.

‘Salone del Mobile’ is Europe’s biggest interiors showcase, with figures in excess of 380,000 attendees, and stats showing 67% of visitors from outside Italy, making this the ‘Must See’ event. proving the point that design is in demand, even more so in the Bathroom market, its fair to say its a limited market, but fairly buoyant.

Old wood new life

One of my Favourite’s ‘Old Wood new Life’ seemed a theme this year, and the ‘Series Organic’ from Idistudio of Italy, certainly embraced the spirit of the theme.

Bathroom Furniture being the growth area this year at Salone, with innovative design’s using timber based products, recycled timbers, and metals, I had set myself a remit prior to the show and that was to find bathroom furniture that was unique in styling, and a purpose to the design rather than just another box, only because the UK average buyer just see’s vanity furniture as a best price commodity rather than a design piece.
